Homecoming Week!

Last week was Homecoming- translation BUSY BUSY!! Sean made the Varsity Basketball team and was selected for the freshman Homecoming court. He was beyond thrilled for the festivities to begin with the pep rally, parade, BBQ and of course the big homecoming game! Raegan was part of the "future cheerleaders" and was able to take part in the pep rally with a dance and cheer (which of course the entire household "learned"). In the parade Sean and Samantha were driven in an older model t-top corvette which was the icing on the cake for him. Raegan rode on the PTO float throwing candy to the crowd and of course keeping some for herself.  Gavin and I were perfectly happy cheering on the sidelines snapping photos. I want to be sure to mention that Raegans friend Samantha led us in the National Anthem singing so amazingly- brought tears to my eyes! Although the boys did not win their game, Sean did an awesome job as a freshman starter and had a great week. GO BULLDOGS!

Halloween!!

A Halloween Hayride with friends has been our tradition for the past 4 years....It was especially fun this year with Gavin. He was mezmerized by all the children in their costumes. Raegan realized early that taking her little brother from house to house was a great "ploy" to receive more than her fair share of goodies! (that will mysteriously disappear in a few days) The little Teddy bear and the Mobster Girl- they made a great team. Seans friends tried to convince him to put on a little make up and maybe a dress, however he was not all interested. He had a great time just sitting in the hay relaxing and telling jokes with his friends. It's great that a lot of the teenagers still take part in a holiday centered mainly around a younger age group.
Good times with good friends!
