Seriously? More Baseball?

I realize that baseball is a hot topic for me these days....but seriously it is spring and do you know my family?
The season is off to a great start and Sean is doing very well! We were at a tournament this past weekend with much larger schools and the boys were able to hold their own. It is awesome to watch their improvement and how they have grown together as a team. District games begin this week so I will definately keep you posted!  Raegan has started practice for softball.  She has been so excited this year about her sports and is even asking to do others (let me fit that into our schedule). She has a really great arm and can make an awesome throw from 1st to 3rd.  Now, if we could get the mental part of it down (remembering WHERE exactly to make the throw). It is great to see them both appreciate being part of a team, enjoying themselves.  Now if we could feel that way about homework we would be in great shape!  I must tell you that they each told me the other night that they know where they get their talent from... wait for it ... wait for it ....yes, you guessed it....their DADDY!  Apparently they forget who chauffers them around town. It's okay actually because it is true... I finally had to stop catching for Sean last year because I was a little frightened! Unfortunately for Raegan I cannot catch for her..... I'm scared! Get hit in the shin once and  that is enough, at least for me.
We have certainly come along way from picking flowers out of the grass in the outfield!

They will be dancin' yeah

Father/Daughter dance 10'.  This is an event that Raegan looks forward to every year. It is an evening all about her and her daddy! A reason for her to put on a dress (lip gloss even this year) and spend the evening ordering her daddy around on the dance floor. Luckily for Robert they do play some music that is just for the girls. Gives him a chance to rest his aching feet!! It really is a special night for both of them.
And in case you didn't know...
She is a Daddys' girl!
Robert is the one she calls if she is having a bad day (especially if it has anything to do with me) or she just wants to talk.  She says that he is her GO TO person.
My hope is that she always feels that way.

It's...1...2...3 Strikes...Your OUT!!!

Strike guys out is exactly what Sean did at his 1st appearance on the mound Friday afternoon.  He pitched the entire game and our boys won 10-6! 5 strike outs!! He was very nervous the night before his game.  First High School game, being a young freshman and it was a tournament is definately enough to give anyone some anxiety.  Luckily he was able to keep it all in check and put his game face on.
He was very proud of himself.
And of course, so are we!

Take me out to the ball game....

Playing under the pine tree

It was a beautiful weekend to be out at the ball park.  Even better was that there was a HUGE pine tree directly behind us where Gavin was perfectly happy to sit and enjoy his day.
