What can I say Gavin loves bath time! And a photo session in the bath tub, well we have to have em'. Raegan and I have even made a little song that he loves to hear as he plays with Captain Michael in his ship. I am considering the mohawk as his permanent hairdo...what do you think?? gotta love it. Like Robert would have any part of that! right honey? Till next time....

THIS JUST IN....Basketball season is in full swing!!
Watching the kids play in any sport is definately one of my favorite pastimes, surely because it consumes a large portion of my life, and because how every year they seem to improve greatly. Raegan especially this year has made huge strides in her game. She is an awesome defender and has even made a few fast breaks to the goal for her shot!! She no longer complains when she is injured (quite a feat if you know my daughter) she gets back to her feet and keeps on going!! She gets herself so psyched for a game. The icing on the cake is that they are undefeated!!! A great group of girls. Sean is doing very well and did make the Varsity team as a starter! He has made great strides in controlling himself during a game....he has a tendancy to let his emotions get the best of him. Hmmm, wherever does that come from? He has been working on his 3 pt. shot which has greatly improved. He is at his best on defense and has only fouled out in 1 game so far!! His team as a whole needs work but I do believe that they play with heart and will only be better next year. As for myself, well lets just say Raegan does not like to sit next to me during any game, apparently I am a little loud! What can I say, I like to cheer from the sidelines:)

Robby
I wanted to mention that Robby has a song on itunes, just search Rob VanCour and that should bring it up. The cost is .99. It is really good, he gave the kids a live concert while he was here the weekend after Christmas. Everyone was really excited that he was able to come spend some time over the holidays. He seems to be doing well at school. Ball will begin for him shortly after the break and he is hoping to be picked up by a D1 school for next year. Unfortunately time seemed to go by way to quickly that I didn't get any pictures. Next time I promise! It was great anyhow- up until he was leaving and locked his keys in his truck. Funny now, not so funny then.

We are ONE!!!! (not we, but he)
As you can see Gavin certainly did not have any trouble understanding what he should do with a cake sitting in front of him. I even gave him a spoon to see if we could keep him just a tad clean. ( I don't think so Mommy) He was in a trance when he saw the flame from the candle- wanted to put his tiny little fingers through the flame. I think his favorite part was when his sister decided to let him put cake all over HER face. He just could not get enough of that. He just stared at her laughing his little laugh. I really cannot believe that an entire year has gone by already. As every mother of more than one child knows, you never understand how you can love another child as much as you love your first born. Amazingly, incredibly your heart melts just the same everytime. Thanks you for all your birthday wishes...
Happy Birthday little fella!!

Christmas at the VanCours'
Christmas is very exciting when you have a little one in the house. Of course, as we suspected, Gavin was extra nice his first year and received many gifts of all shapes and sizes, however he was not at all interested in unwrapping any of them. He was perfectly content to sit among his packages and play with the ribbon. Sean and Raegan had very short lists this year for Santa (sadly they are believers no longer- breaks my heart) they too had a great Christmas. Many thanks to Aunt Alison for sending Sean his "special socks" he was more than thrilled! I may have to order them online. After our traditional Christmas day we spent the evening at Nana and Grandpas playing the band hero that Grandpa received from "Santa". Apparently I am not a drummer - who knew??- however the microphone was GLUED to Raegans hand! Already looking forward to next year!! Merry Christmas EVERYONE
